Is Joe’s Gym a class?

No. Joe’s Gym is not a teacher led group class. It is Independent Personal Practice, which means you come into the studio during allocated access times and move through your own practice.

Do I need Pilates experience?

Some Pilates experience is recommended. If you are new to Pilates or new to Principle Movements, you may need to complete an intro session first so we can help you feel confident and safe.

Can I use the apparatus?

Apparatus access depends on your experience and eligibility. Some clients may need to complete Apparatus Pre Pilates Prep sessions before accessing the larger equipment independently.

Will someone show me what to do?

Yes. Joe’s Gym has been created with guidance and support so you are not left guessing. We will explain how everything works before you begin.

Can I still keep doing my normal classes?

Yes. Joe’s Gym is designed to complement your classes. It gives you another way to practise, refine and spend more time in the studio.

Question 6

How do I book?

Joe’s Gym bookings will be available through Momence. You’ll book your reformer time through the appointments tab in the app.

Each booking gives you 1 hour in the studio to move through your own practice. If you’d like a little more guidance during your session, you can use the iPad in the studio to access the online video library. Wireless headphones will be available to borrow, or you’re welcome to connect your own headphones to the iPad via bluetooth.

During these times, the space will be supervised by one of our team. They’ll be there to support the studio environment, but your session is your own.

You’ll move through your practice at your own pace, keep an eye on your time, and clean down your equipment once you’re finished.

The Reformer and Apparatus studio will both be open for Independent Personal Practice: 
Monday - Sunday, 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM. 
With availability to the Apparatus studio around other private and semi-private bookings.
